I went to visit the “B” family for a newborn/family session last weekend. We got some amazing and sweet images of mom and dad with their 3 little girls as well as some great individual portraits of each of the children.

While baby sister was being fed I got to entertain “A” (5 yrs old) & “J” (2 yrs old). We proceeded to make a fort out of the baby blankets and take photos of each other taking photos. The photos that resulted were pretty great as well.

I am now offering a new type of session called a “Lifestyle Session”. This is where I will spend 2-3 hours with you and your family spending time doing your favorite things like eating ice cream, jumping on the bed, cuddling…as I capture these precious memories for you. These are not perfect portraits, they are real everyday moments. These are great sessions for families who are not sure where to hang another wall portrait but would love to have a coffee table album that will tell the story of their family.

A little sun through the rain – Spring Mini Sessions {Photography by Sabreena – Michigan Family Photographer}

So I glanced at the weather for the week and I said out loud (and probably in a bit of a gloomy Eeyore type voice) “Looks like it is going to rain every single day this week”.

My 5 year old daughter replied, “Well mom, that is great! That will help the flowers grow nice and big!”

I have been teaching my daughters about having a positive outlook on life, but I have to admit that it isn’t easy to be positive ALL the time. I love that my daughter turned my lessons around on me. There is ALWAYS a positive side to everything – even if we can not see it at the time.

So on this rainy week I wanted to roll out my spring mini sessions. There are going to be 2 locations one in East Lansing at the MSU Gardens and another location (to be determined) in the Howell/Fowlerville area. I am looking at sessions May 3rd, 4th, & 5th. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested because there are very limited spots. I also have 2 other packages available (one smaller & one bigger).
