Relay for Life

Relay for Life

On a personal note I would like to invite you all to visit my Relay For Life team page. As many of you know, my husband works for The American Cancer Society. I personally have had more friends and family touched by cancer then I can count on both hands. This is an issue that is near and dear to my hear. I am excited to be apart of the Webberville Relay this year. I will be offering my services as a photographer and will be donating my time to take photos of the Cancer survivors. Any others that would like a photo or would like to be in the photo with their survivor can donate $5 that will go toward my team’s goal.

If you feel moved to make a small donation (the smallest donations can make the biggest impact) then please click on this link to view my team page: Relay for Life Team Page!

These are just two of my reasons for being a part of Relay. It is my hope that they don’t have to experience so many losses and trials with cancer as I have in mine.

** This information will be tagged at the top of this page until the relay is complete. Thanks in advance for your support.

More of my girl…

Sorry to overload you with photos of my daughter, but it isn’t often that she lets me take her picture and if she does it is VERY rare that I get eye contact….it is the curse of being the child of a photographer ;)

My little ballerina

Sarah started ballet classes last weekend. Her little smile never leaves her face during the whole class. She is such a great little ballerina!

Where does time go???

My little one will be turning 6 months old in another week and I am in TOTAL denial. Time is going by SO fast! But OHHHHH the joy of seeing her smile and hearing her laugh. Life has a completely different meaning to me now that I have my girls; Being wealthy does not mean having lots of money (which I am sure I will NEVER have ;) ). Being wealthy, to me, means having two beautiful girls that bring SOOOO much joy in our lives. I give thanks for them everyday!

Generations….

This is my beloved Grandmother, Shayla’s Great Grandmother. My wish, hope, dream, prayer it that sometime in the near future I will be able to get a generational photo with my grandmother, my mom, my two daughters, and myself.

This will have to do for now….

Baptism

What a blessing it was for my dear friend to ask me to photograph her two girls baptisms. It was such a blessed event, and the girls handled it so well. These photos are more photo journalistic (which I personally love). I have heard another photographer label this style as ‘Perfectly Imperfect’.

I Have Been Tagged…

I have been tagged by NatalieB. Photography !
Here are the rules;
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Oh Man! This is harder then I thought it would be…

1. I had a blind horse growing up…..and YES, I did ride her :)

2. I lived in a haunted farm house growing up…..lots of spooky stories that freak my husband out! ;)

3. I love learning about my heritage - I am Irish on my mom’s side and Scottish on my dad’s side

4. My cousin - Jerry Trainor - is an actor. He is on a show called “iCarly” on Nickelodeon (I am very proud of him if you can’t tell :) )

5. I am not crazy about chocolate….BUT….I am hooked on sugar…..jelly beans, cotton candy, twizzlers…..Hmmmmmm

6. I frequently have a one track mind….when I get an idea in my head, it is hard to talk me out of it….just ask my husband, lol

7. My grandfather is my Hero…..he served in World War II, was a wonderful husband to my beautiful grandmother, helped raise 3 great daughters, and was the BEST perch fisherman I knew!

Okay…that was HARD….just so you know, that took me ALL day (on and off) to think of these.

Now for the tagging (sorry guys ;) ):

CONTEST DETAILS: I love finding little jewels around town - these little jewels (at least to me) are great places to take photos that you wouldn’t normally think of - like an alleyway, a great barn, or an old historical building. I also love meeting new people through my love of photography. What better way to combine these two loves then by running a contest. This contest will run for the month of April. You must submit to me at least 1 of these: (1) a photo of a loved one that you would love to have a photo with or of AND / OR (2) a great location that I would be able to use for photo shoots that I have never used before in the Livingston or surrounding Lansing areas WHAT WILL I WIN??? Well……. If you submit a photo of a loved one OR a great new location your name will be put into a random drawing for: An on location session (valued at $100) and $100 Print Credit IF you submit both a photo of a loved one AND a great new location that I have never used before you will instantly win: An on location session (valued at $100), $100 Print Credit, and a 20×20 gallery mount collage or photo ($155) The deadline for all entries is April 27th at 6pm. No professional photos please. Email entries to: pbsabreena(at)comcast.net

LOVE….

"Ultimately, love is everything."
- M.Scott Peck

"There is only one happiness in life: to love and be loved."
- George Sands

"Where there is great love, there are always miracles."
- Willa Cather

Engagement photographs have to be the easiest session for me to photograph. What can be easier than catching the natural bond that connects two people.

I wish I could express in words how difficult it was for me to choose just a few photos to share; I have sooooo many favorites.

Thank you both for letting me capture this special time in your lives, it truly was a blessing - and I LOVED meeting Lou!
