Thankful Thursday {Photography by Sabreena ; Michigan Child Portrait Photographer}

I am thankful for…

Spring! {Photography by Sabreena - Howell Michigan Child Photographer}

The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring. ~Bern Williams

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:  when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade. ~Charles Dickens

It’s spring fever.  That is what the name of it is.  And when you’ve got it, you want - oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! ~Mark Twain

No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. ~Proverb

I have been photographing this sweet girl for a long time, but this has to be one of my favorite sessions of her.

Connections… {Photography by Sabreena - Family Portrait Photographer; Brighton, Michigan}

I love the connections that children form, not only to people but also to loved objects such as a stuffed animal.

Here is Ms. K last year:

And here she is this year:

Great location…almost {Photography by Sabreena - Family Photorapher; Howell, Michigan}

So I found this great new location and a family willing to try it out for me…only problem is that the mosquitoes were big enough to carry off a small child! It was the fastest photo session ever!

After 10 minutes I decided to wasn’t worth this family getting all bit up; HOWEVER, in those few short (or long depending on how attracted the bugs were to you) minutes I was able to grab these:

I may post a few more favorites once they are edited. I also wanted to mention that the super sweet neck tie the little boy has on velcros on in the back, but you can’t even tell. They are so beautifully made and you can find them at this site: My Belle Bows. She also makes beautiful items for girls such as hair clips.

Urban Winter Photo Sessions - Take 3 {Howell, Michigan - Photographer}

Here is the last set in my Urban Winter Promotional Photo Shoot. You have seen both of these girls earlier in the year for their senior portraits. I don’t think these girls could take a bad photograph and they are so awesome to work with. They were real troopers too for working with me in the freezing cold. I think it was totally worth it though.

If you would like one of these Urban Winter Photo shoots here are the details:

How much is it? (the important question, right?!?)

Since these are shortened sessions the sitting fee is also shortened. Instead of a $100 sitting fee, you will only have to pay $50.

What do I get?

- 15-30 minute photo shoot at an “Urban” (or a country/rural) location
- 10-20 shots of your kids/family in nice coats/hats/scarves/boots/etc.
- a complimentary 8×10 from the session (a $40 value)

8 month old beauty ; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

8 months is such a great time to get photos of your little one. They are sitting up really well, but they aren’t running away from the camera yet.

I could have photographed this little one all day long! She had the sweetest smile and the most beautiful family on top of that…a photographer’s dream!

A Wedding & 2 Families; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

It was such a perfect weekend for photography. I know my bride from this weekend had been checking the weather faithfully every day and praying for nice weather on her wedding day - and blessed we were.

The wedding went off without a hitch and I am SO excited about the shot I got as well as what my second shooter got. I promise, Kerri, I will be posting some soon.

On top the wedding I had 2 other family portrait sessions and my Nieces college hockey game at Michigan State University. It was a BUSY weekend for sure!

So my friend Kerri is off to Jamaica, and although I don’t doubt that she will be checking the blog, while on her trip, for a preview, I am going to make her wait just a little longer. I am going to post a HUGE preview and need time to get them processed just right.

But here are a few quick previews for another great friend of mine. I had 3 objectives in mind with this session. (1) get great individual shots of her 3 boys, (2) get a great shot of all 3 boys together, and (3) get a great, fun family shot.

I am pretty happy with what I got! :D I was having such a great time with the boys and It was funny because my friends husband made the comment, “This is better then an amusement park!” That is a first for me :D

All Girl! ; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

I thought it was only appropriate since my last post was titled “All Boy” to title this one “All Girl” :D

Miss G has to be the sweetest girl I have ever had the pleasure of photographing! I was totally won over when I walked in and saw Miss G in this adorable pettiskirt! I couldn’t have planned a more perfect outfit myself!

I have SO many favorites from this session so I am sorry for the total overload in this preview.I just couldn’t narrow it down!

Family Portraits; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

I had a blast meeting this family at the Mill Race Park in Northville, Michigan. What an amazing little town. I would LOVE to do an “urban” shoot in this little historical downtown. It has so many treasures throughout the little town.

This session, however, was a fun fall park photo shoot. This little guy is 18 months old and so much fun with great parents as well.

This first preview is one of my favorites from this weekend - although you will see many favorites in my next several posts.

This collage shows the fun we had throwing the leaves up and letting them fall. I just LOVE this time of year!

Okay, it is back to work for me. I have previews of a Senior and well as 2 more family sessions….WHEW! :)
